On Saturday 7th of January Emperor Akihito celebrated 28 years as the head of the Chrysanthemum throne. The past year has been a trying one with much talk of his abdication and the death of his uncle, Prince Mikasa.
I hope however long his reign lasts that it will be a good, wise and healthy reign. All my best to the Emperor on this occasion.
