Beatrice Borromeo-Casiraghi
Beatrice Borromeo was born in Italy on August 18th 1985. Beatrice's family is a prominent aristocratic family in Italy that can trace their origins to the 1300s. Her parents are Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto. Beatrice grew up alongside her older brother Carlo who was born in 1984. She also has three older half-sisters from her father's side; Isabella (1975), Lavinia (1977) & Matilde (1983)
Beatrice graduated from the University of Milan in 2010 with a Bachelor of Law. She did her post graduate studies at Columbia University in New York where she received a Master of Journalism. Since graduating Beatrice has become well known in Italy outside of her family name. She has worked with Newsweek, The Daily Beast and other Italian news channels as a reporter. Beatrice considers herself an atheist and a leftist. She is a strong supporter of Human Rights.
On July 25th 2015 Beatrice Borromeo married Pierre Casiraghi, the younger son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover and her late husband Stefano Casiraghi. Pierre is currently 7th in line to the throne of Monaco. On 28th February 2017 Beatrice gave birth to the couple's first child, a son, Stefano Casiraghi. Their second child, Francesco, was born on May 21st 2018.
