Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John Glucksburg, Count of Monpezat is the eldest child of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. Prince Christian is also the 3rd grandchild for Queen Margrethe II and her husband Prince Henrik. Prince Christian was born on 15th October 2005 in Copenhagen. He is second in line, after his father to the Danish throne. This means one day he will reign as King Christian XI.
Prince Christian has 8 godparents. These include Prince Joachim of Denmark (paternal uncle), Jane Stephens (maternal aunt), Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece (his father's first cousin).
Prince Christian has three younger siblings, Princess Isabella and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. The young prince is in grade four and attends a public school.
Prince Christian's first royal duty at the age of one when he opened a new elephant house at Copenhagen Zoo. He has also been page boy at his godmother Crown Princess Victoria, been present at the unveiling of a painting and in 2014 accompanied his parents on an official tour of Greenland. Prince Christian will continue to take on more royal duties as he gets older but his first priority is of course, school.
