Prince Nikolaos of Greece & Denmark
Prince Nikolaos is the second son and third child of King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece. Nikolaos is 7th in line to the former Greek throne, at the time of his birth he was second in line. Nikolaos was born on 1st October 1969 in Rome, Italy. He was born at a turbulent time for his parents. Just two years prior they has gone to Rome in exile after a military coup in Greece. In 1972 his parents moved to London, England and in 1974 Greece became a republic. Nikolaos still holds the title of prince, though it is not recognised in Greece. Nikolaos has four siblings, two older, Princess Alexia and Crown Prince Pavlos and two younger, Princess Theodora and Prince Philippos.
Nikolaos was educated at the school founded by his parents, The Hellenic College of London. The Prince then went on to study International Relations at Brown University in Rhode Island, USA. Nikolaos works closely with relief for victims of natural disasters.
On 25th August 2010 Nikolaos married Tatiana Blatnik. They do not currently have any children.
Nikolaos is closely related to many royal countries of Europe through both his parents. His mother's sister, and his aunt is Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. Prince Nikolaos was one of those with Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark when he met Mary Donaldson in 2000 during the Sydney Olympics. His father's sister and his aunt is the former Queen Sofia of Spain, the current King, King Felipe VI is his first cousin. Nikolaos is a cousin of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden through his mother and through both his parents is related to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Princess Caroline of Monaco & Hanover''s husband is also a cousin.
