Princess Alexia of The Netherlands

Princess Alexia of The Netherlands was born on June 26th 2005 to Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima. Her full name is Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien. At the time of her birth, her grandmother Queen Beatrix was the reigning monarch making Alexia 3rd in line to the throne. In 2013 her father became King Willem-Alexander after Beatrix abdicated, currently Alexia is 2nd in line to the throne after her older sister. One of Alexia's godfathers was her late uncle, Prince Friso. Her godmother is Queen Mathilde of Belgium.

Princess Alexis has two sisters, Princess Catharina-Amalia (2003) and Princess Ariane (2007). Alexis speaks Dutch and English fluently, and her mother has taught her to speak some Spanish. In February 2016 Alexia broke her thigh bone whilst skiing. Her accident occurred in the same place her godfather and uncle, Prince Friso has his fatal accident in 2012.

Princess Alexia is still in school, so despite being 2nd in line to the throne she does not carry out any official duties yet. Alexia can be seen at events with her parents and sisters.
