Princess Martha Louise of Norway


Princess Martha Louise was born to the then Crown Prince Harald and Crown Princess Sonja of Norway in Oslo on 22nd September 1971. At the time of her birth she was 2nd in line to the throne. She has a younger brother, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. Her godparents include her paternal grandfather, King Olav V of Norway, Princess Margaretha of Sweden and her paternal aunt Princess Ragnhild of Norway. The Princess is fourth in line to the throne.

Martha Louise is a qualified a physiotherapist but instead chose to establish her own entertainment business. In 2004 The Princess moved with her family to New York to release a children's book.

Princess Martha Louise is heavily involved with work to help disabled children and her fund 'Princess Martha Louise Fund' donates a lot of money to various health causes. The Princess carries out some royal duties alongside her family and for her fund. The Princess conducts less duties than she would usually as she has her own business to run. Martha Louise also pays taxes which is unusual for a royal.

Princess Martha Louise married Ari Behn on 24th August 2002. They have three daughters;

1). Maud Angellica (29th April 2003)

2). Leah Isadora (8th April 2005)

3). Emma Tallulah (29th September 2008)

Aside from New York the family have also lived in London. Martha Louise moved her family back to Norway in 2014. She and Ari Behn divorced in August 2016 and share custody of the girls.
