Wedding Wednesday (Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein and Angela Gisela Brown)

This Thursday will be the 16th wedding anniversary of Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein and Angela Gisela Brown. Maximilian is the son of Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein and is currently 5th in line to the throne of Liechtenstein.

Maximilian and Angela's wedding was ground breaking. This was the first time in recorded history that a person of African descent had married, with consent into a royal family of Europe. 

The couple married in New York on 21st January 2000 and a year later they had a son, Prince Alfons in 2001.
