Lady Gabriella weds Thomas Kingston
Last weekend we saw another royal wedding. This wedding belonged to Lady Gabriella Windsor (now Kingston) to her fiance Thomas Kingston. The royal family stepped out and filled St George's Chapel as the only daughter of Prince Michael of Kent got married.
Lady Gabriella had amongst her flower girls her nieces Maud and Isabella Windsor. This was Maud's second time as flower girl, the first time being in October at Princess Eugenie's wedding. Also in the bridal party was Gabriella's cousin Estella Taylor, a granddaughter of Prince Edward, Duke of Kent.
Below are some pictures of the beautiful day.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor
I haven't updated in a while so you will all know by now that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on May 6th, earlier this month. The couple chose to name their little one Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The baby does not have a royal title as Prince Harry is not the eldest son of the Prince of Wales, when Prince Charles becomes King, as a grandson of the monarch through the male line he will be entitled to use the title 'Prince.' Harry and Meghan also chose not to give Archie one of the Duke of Sussex's subsidiary titles so their son can grow up with as normal a life as possible.
No date has been set for Archie's christening, but in the meantime enjoy these beautiful pictures of the newest addition to the British Royal Family.

Abdication of Emperor Akihito of Japan
Yesterday the world watched as Emperor Akihito of Japan abdicated his throne. The monarch has been ruling Japan since January 1989. He ended his 30 year reign on 30th April 2019. The Emperor's abdication made history as no Japanese emperor has ever abdicated before as they were seen as deities.
The emperor was surrounded by his family and friends as he abdicated in favour of his elder son, Naruhito. Naruhito's enthronement ceremony took place today on May 1st 2019. Below are images of both the abdication and enthronement ceremonies.
