Today Princess Athena of Denmark celebrates her 5th Birthday!!! The Little Princess is the only daughter of Prince Joachim and his second wife Princess Marie and is the youngest grandchild of Queen Margrethe II and Consort Prince Henrik. Currently Athena is 10th in line to the Danish throne.

Happy Birthday Princess Caroline!!!


Happy Birthday Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover!!! Today the elder sister of Prince Albert II celebrates her 60th birthday and we wish her all the best on this milestone. Princess Caroline is currently 3rd in line to the throne of Monaco. 

 I wish Princess Caroline a very, very happy birthday and hope she enjoys all her celebrations. On a side note it is also her 18th wedding anniversary to Prince Ernst August of Hanover. I chose not to wish them a happy anniversary with a separate post as they have not been seen in public together for many years and are unofficially separated.

On 22nd of January one my favourite royals, and one of the most active in The United Kingdom celebrated her 52nd Birthday. It's Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Sophie is the wife of Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and daughter-in-law of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Happy Birthday Princess Ingrid Alexandra!!!


Yesterday on the 21st of January Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway celebrated her 13th Birthday and is officially a teenager!!!

  The Princess is the only daughter and eldest child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and is a granddaughter of King Harald V and Queen Sonja. When her grandfather abdicates The Princess will become heiress apparent to the Norwegian throne and will one day be known as Queen Ingrid Alexandra.

Happy Anniversary Prince Maximilian and Princess Angela!!!


Happy 17th Anniversary to Prince Maximilian of Liechtenstein and his wife Princess Angela. The couple married on 21st January 2000. Prince Maximilian made history by being the first European royal to marry someone of African ancestry. The couple have one son, Prince Alfons of Liechtenstein. 

 I wish Maximilian and Angela many more years of happiness together.

Yesterday on January 19th Princess Margriet of The Netherlands celebrated her 74th Birthday. Princess Margriet is the sister of Princess Beatrix and aunt of King Willem-Alexander. Margriet is currently 8th in line to the throne.

Breaking News!!! Prince Louis of Luxembourg and Princess Tessy to divorce

I've just heard the news that Prince Louis of Luxembourg, the third son and child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and his wife Princess Tessy are divorcing. The couple married without royal consent almost 10 and a half years ago on 29th September 2006. Prince Louis abdicated his rights to succession in order to marry Tessy. Louis and Tessy have two children together, Prince Gabriel of Nassau and Prince Noah of Nassau.

I wish both Prince Louis and Princess Tessy all the best in the future. It's not easy deciding that the best way to raise your family is apart. I hope they both find happiness and that Prince Gabriel and Prince Noah grow up in a happy loving, home despite the circumstances.

Happy Birthday Mia Tindall!!!


Happy Birthday to Mia Tindall!!! Yesterday on January 17th the adorable daughter of Mike Tindall and Zara Phillips turned 3 years old. Mia is the granddaughter of Princess Anne, The Princess Royal and a great grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Mia is currently 17th in line to the throne. 

 Mia is also special in marking four generations of royal women being alive at the same time (Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne, Zara Phillips and Mia Tindall).

 I wish Mia a very happy birthday. I hope she enjoyed her special day and that she has many, many more.

26 Years of King Harald V!!!


Yesterday on January 17th King Harald V celebrated 26 years since he ascended to the throne of Norway. King Harald is heavily involved in his country and is constantly meeting with the Prime Minister, Foreign Secretary and other politicians. He holds many audiences a day and is one of the hardest working monarchs. 

 I wish King Harald much congratulations on this milestone. I hope he has many years of a wise and successful reign.
