The royals are known for having a keen interest in a variety of sports. This new Sunday series will take a look at the sports they partake in. Our first sport series will take a look at the royals and Ice Skating.
The most famous royal to participate in this beautiful winter sport is Princess Alexandra of Hanover, youngest child of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover. The 16 year old who is 9th in line to the throne of Monaco skates competitively and this year represented Monaco at the 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival
Other Royals whilst not competing on a level such as Princess Alexandra enjoy the sport on a social level.
Other members of royal families whilst not participating themselves love to watch this graceful sport.
