Tiara Time!!!

It's Tiara time!!! There were three Tiara events recently. In Spain, In The Netherlands and in Denmark.

22nd February - Spain

Queen Letizia of Spain wears the Fleur de Lys Tiara. This one dates back to 1906 and probably ranks 3rd in the importance of Spanish tiaras. I think the tiara is just too big for her. Letizia is tiny and should've gone with a smaller tiara. In addition you kind of lose her in the black dress. I would've given her something a bit more colourful to wear.

27th March - The Netherlands

Queen Maxima wears the Diamond Bandeau Tiara, The Tiara is not so old, and dates back to 1937. Maxima wears it every now and then. I think Maxima looks beautiful. I love her dress and the pattern. The tiara is a good choice, as it's quite subtle. The First Lady of Argentina is not royal so she won't be wearing a tiara, so a smaller tiara is quite appropriate.

28th March - Denmark.

L-R:  Crown Princess Mary wearing the Ruby Parure Tiara. This is one of her favourites. It dates back to 1804 and is one of the eldest in the Danish Collection. It is Mary most frequently worn tiara.

Queen Margrethe II wears the Pearl Poire tiara. This one dates back to 1825 and is also one of the eldest in the collection. It also happens to be Margrethe's favourite tiara.

Queen Mathilde wears the Nine Provinces Tiara in all it's glory. Usually Mathilde just wears the base. This is the second eldest, but most important tiara in Belgium's collection.

Another shot of Mary in the Ruby Parure. I love the simplicity of her dress, the gold is stunning and the red ribbon works beautifully with the tiara. Just stunning!

Not a fan of Princess Marie's dress. She is wearing what looks like (it's hard to tell) the Diamond Floral Tiara. The tiara is owned by Princess Marie and she wears it most frequently of her two tiaras.
