Weddning Wednesday (Prince Laurent of Belgium & Claire Coombs)

12th April 2003 was the day Prince Laurent of Belgium, second son of King Albert II married a lovely girl from England, Claire Louise Coombs. They have now been married 13 years and share three children, Princess Louise and twin boys, Prince Nicholas and Prince Aymeric. Today we step back in time and take a look at the beautiful wedding day they shared.

Princess Claire and her father Nicolas Coombs. I love Claire's dress, it's one of my favourite royal wedding dresses. The neckline is gorgeous and that veil is just stunning. The bouquet is a bit big, but the droopy parts make it work. You can't see it so well here, but Claire is wearing a completely new tiara, which I simply call the Princess Claire Wedding Tiara. It's nice, but sticks up a bit to much for liking. You don't want it to look like you have alien antennas on your wedding day!

The beautiful couple. A close up of the tiara.

The dress in full.

That's the couple, what about the guests?

Of course the groom's parents King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium were present.

Laurent's older brother, Prince Philippe, Duke of Brabant & his wife Crown Princess Mathilde

Laurent's niece, Princess Luisa Archduchess of Austria-Este is the flower girl on the right. Luisa is the daughter of Princess Astrid, Archduchess of Austria-Este, Laurent's older sister.

Prince Laurent's aunt, Queen Fabiola of Belgium

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg

Prince Guillaume and Princess Sibilla of Luxembourg

Princess Laurentien of The Netherlands

Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine of Sweden

And...That's all folks, hope you enjoyed!!!
