Today, the 20th of November Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary!!! The couple married at Westminster Abbey in 1947 and have since had a strong marriage full of mutual respect and supporting one another through thick and thin. Queen Elizabeth has stated that The Duke is her "rock."
The couple not only have a strong and enduring relationship, but have a beautiful, ever growing family. Philip and Elizabeth have four children; Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. They have also been blessed with 8 grandchildren (Peter, Zara, William, Harry, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise and James) and have been fortunate enough to so far see five great grandchildren (Savannah, Isla, Mia, George & Charlotte). With rumours flying about of Princess Eugenie's impending engagement I hope they will get to see another grandchild married and more great grandchildren.
I wish Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh many more years of happiness together. We should all be so lucky and so blessed to have a marriage like theirs, and to witness our families growing strong.
