On Saturday 17th of September 2022 King Charles III and William Prince of Wales surprised those lining up outside Westminster by turning up to greet and thank them.

Later that evening the Queen's eight grandchildren Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall (Princess Anne), Prince William and Prince Harry (Prince Charles), Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie (Prince Andrew) and Lady Louise and James Viscount Severn (Prince Edward) stood vigil for about 20 minutes around their beloved Grannie's coffin.
Queen Elizabeth II's 8 grandchildren led by William Prince of Wales. The grandchildren walked down the stairs in order of succession to the throne.
