Christopher O'Neill


Christopher O'Neill whilst not holding a title is the husband of Princess Madeleine of Sweden, the youngest child and daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden. Christopher was born in London in 1974 to Paul, an investment banker and Eva Maria. Christopher has five half siblings, Tatjana d'Abo and Countess Natascha von Abensberg Traun on his father's side and Stefanie, Annalisa and Karen on his father's side. During his childhood Christopher spent time living in Austria, Germany, as well as his place of birth, London.

Christopher began his education in England, attending Eaton House and Westminster Upper School. He spent his final years at a the Rosenberg Institute boarding school in Switzerland. Upon graduation Christopher studied at Boston University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. He furthered his studies at Columbia University in New York, obtaining his Master of Business. Christopher began working for the company Noster Capital, but resigned upon his marriage to Princess Madeleine.

On June 8th 2013 Christopher O'Neill married Princess Madeleine of Sweden. Due to his wish to not become a Swedish citizen O'Neill holds no royal title, and can therefore continue his financial career as he doesn't have any official royal duties. Christopher does appear at various family functions. Christopher and The Princess have three children together;

1). Princess Leonore (20th February 2014)
2). Prince Nicolas (15th June 2015)
3). Princess Adrienne (9th March 2018)
