Fashion Fridays 1st January 2016-7th January 2016

The first Fashion Friday of 2016!!! It's been a bit of a slow week royal wise, but we still managed to see some incredible fashion choices.

Kicking the year off with a bang was the Danish royal family. We've spoken about them in Tiara Time, but we can have another look. Queen Margrethe II, Crown Princess Mary and Princes Marie all stepped out in their finest clothing;

I already spoke about Margrethe's fashion in Tiara time, but I'll go back to it briefly here. I think this whole outfit is just well put together, and very queenly. The sky blue colour of the dress is just beautiful and it's matched well with her grey stole. The Pearl Poire Tiara is always a winner, and so beautiful. Nothing wrong here for the Queen of Denmark!!!

I mentioned before how I love both these colours, especially on Crown Princess Mary. However I'm not a fan of the colours together. They don't really match. Adding to this the skirt and top are two completely different materials and patterns. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. For me, it doesn't work this time. Ruby Parure tiara as per usual looks great on Mary.

Here we have Princess Marie of Denmark. The dress itself is beautiful. The plain white is just a little bland for my taste. She has tried to spice it up with silver shoes and red nail polish which I love. Princess Marie is wearing the Diamond floral tiara which is quite pretty I think.

Aside from this glittering display by the Danes we had a few other outfits this week to enjoy.

On Wednesday Queen Maxima of The Netherlands attended an agricultural entrepreneurial award ceremony. She wore this outstanding ensemble. It all just works. I love everything about it from the big hat to the coat. The big gold jewellery and red nail polish is a fantastic subtle way of breaking the black. Congrats Queen Maxima!!!

The next day the Dutch Queen stepped out in this. I like both the top and skirt. They are both beautiful shades, especially on Maxima. I don't think they work well together. I think Maxima just pulls it off. Her hair looks great and I really love her choice of long earrings.

Finally we have Queen Letizia attending a Military parade. Sadly she's not up to her usual standards. Letizia for the most part has impeccable taste. Her top is amazing, I think it would've gone perfectly with black pants or even a different style skirt. The skirt I'm not crazy about. I have no problem with the black but I think the pattern ruins the whole skirt and doesn't work with the top. Her shoes, you can see peeking out under the skirt. I really like them and the little sparkles on the toe. Very cute.

My very first fashion pick for the New Year has to go to...

Queen Maxima!!! It's just a perfect look, nothing wrong with it at all and she looks fantastic!!!
