Prince George of Cambridge begins his first day of preschool

Princess Anne, The Princess Royal will be attending Oxford Farming's annual conference

Prince Andrew, Duke of York visited Yorkshire to take note of damage done by recent floods

Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester met with the President and CEO of the Lawn Tennis Association. In the afternoon The Duchess met with the CEO of the Children's Society 


Belgium 


King Philippe & Queen Mathilde host a New Years reception for Diplomats based in Belgium



The Netherlands 


Queen Maxima visits the Hermitage Museum to witness the signing of a loan of 100 million Euros from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to Credits Microfinance Netherlands.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima receive the European Commission at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam. This visit represents the start of the Dutch Presidency of the EU (European Union)



Norway 


Queen Sonja of Norway will be spending today and tomorrow (the 8th of January) visiting Longyearbyen, Svalbard a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic ocean.

Crown Prince Haakon attends the NHO annual conference

King Harald V of Norway holds a meeting with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
